Due to the continued generosity of our local communities, including but not limited to Danville, San Ramon, Pleasanton, Dublin, Alamo, Livermore, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda and Moraga we have grown far above the few care packages we started with in 2002. As our budget has grown, so have our missions. We believe that there are many ways in which we can support our troops so we developed other missions such as Veterans Outreach, Wounded Soldiers and Gold Star Families. Our main mission of supporting boots on the ground has never changed and continues to be our main focus; however we appreciate the opportunity to be able to expand our support to other areas of need. We also understand that we could not do these things without the unwavering support of our communities and for that we thank you!

Since our inception and following in the footsteps of our grandmothers and mothers, we have mailed "a little bit of home" to our sons and daughters serving around the world. Due to the generosity of our communities, we have been able to include many more service persons who request a box. Often commanding officers in the field will contact us and let us know that they have a young man or woman who is not receiving any boxes or letters from home. These kids quickly come into our hearts and soon receive a care package, letting them know America supports them. We depend on your support and help to continue our mailings. blue star moms information Learn more

Veterans, their welfare, benefits and readjustment, have always been a part of the mission of the Blue Star Mothers of America. When we formed our chapter in 2001, the Veterans of our communities were the first to embrace us and our efforts, taking our Moms under their protective wings, as we faced a war with this new generation of heroes. blue star moms information Learn more

There is nothing like a letter or postcard from the home front to let a soldier, sailor, marine or airman know that he or she is supported and their service is appreciated. Don't underestimate the value of your greeting! blue star moms information Learn more

All gave some, some gave all, but our Wounded Warriors continue down a long and painful road to full recovery. Help us speed that healing. blue star moms information Learn more

The Blue Star Moms are committed to remembering our fallen heroes and their sacrifices, the burden of which their families will forever carry. Since World War I, when the Blue Star banner that hung in the front window became an unofficial symbol of a military family member serving overseas, the blue star was covered with gold if a service member was lost in battle. blue star moms information Learn more
